Velocity-Sensitive Damping Control

One of the most significant components in any shock is its piston and valving … they are the heart of any damper. Every shock in our lineup utilizes our race-proven Velocity-Sensitive Damping Control technology. Through the use of different piston flow designs and variable valving specifications, we are able to custom tune each shock for its intended application.

Samurai Sealing System (SSS)

Working closely with one of the word's leading seal suppliers, FOX Racing Shox has developed our unique dual stage Samurai Sealing System (SSS) for use on all FLOAT 2, FLOAT X, and FLOAT X EVOL air shocks. The seals in the SSS are specifically designed from a special low-temperature, highly durable material that scrapes away snow, ice, and debris while simultaneously keeping the seals lubricated for minimal friction.

Self-Adjust Negative Air Spring

Our patented Self-Adjusting Negative Air Spring creates an air shock with a coil-like feel by automatically keeping the balance between the positive and negative air chambers thus reducing the preload commonly associated with air-spring shocks. This balance of pressures also insures smooth stiction-free action and eliminates any possible harsh top-outs.
