HIBBERT COMPLETES SNOCROSS SEASON UNDEFEATED ON FOX RACING SHOX FLOAT X EVOLS
Monster Energy/Arctic Cat's Tucker Hibbert finished his abbreviated snocross season perfect on Sunday afternoon at the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series (ACSS) in Brainerd, Minn.
Hibbert won the qualifiers for the Pro Super Stock and Pro Open classes with ease but had to work for his victories in the finals. In the Pro Super Stock final, Hibbert was buried off the start, leaving him mid to back of the 15-rider field. It took him until lap nine of 25 to make the pass on Polaris' T.J. Gulla for the lead. By the end of the race, Hibbert opened up an 11 second gap on Gulla for the win. The start of the Pro Open final was much the same. He had a mid-pack start but by the second corner he found himself in second place. It only took him one more lap to set up the leader, pro rookie Brett Bender, and made the pass for the lead in the corner after the finish line jump. Hibbert rode flawlessly the remainder of the 25-lap final, to win his final race of the season.
There's still four more events left on the ACSS tour but on Sunday night, Hibbert hung up his snow boots for moto boots - leaving the entire snowmobile industry in awe. No one in the history of the sport has had such a dominating season. Shortly, he'll be traveling south to get seat time on his motorcycle and hopes to race a couple Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lites East Coast events before the season wraps up. Then, he'll turn his focus to his tenth summer racing the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
Hibbert is leaving snocross this winter with an impressive 8-0 record on the national tour and with 46 total national career wins. He also won his eighth overall medal and third consecutive gold at ESPN's Winter X Games 13.

"This is unbelievable. I had no idea going into this season that I would be able to win every race. I was shocked after winning everything at the season opener in Duluth, then to keep on winning was just awesome. The entire Monster Energy/Arctic Cat crew worked for it. We put in a lot of hours of prep and testing. Arctic Cat built an amazing sled this year so we had a great platform. My dad Kirk, Paul Engelstad, Robby Dahlen, Steve Houle from Speedwerx, Jeff Tweet and Fred Olson spent some long nights in the shop making sure my sleds were perfect and they were. We didn't have any mechanical issues this year and that's something to be really proud of. Not too many teams can say that.
It's hard walking away from snocross right now but this was my plan from the beginning and I'm okay with that. I have a lot of goals in motocross that I really feel I need to chase. I need to thank all my sponsors and fans for their amazing support this season and understanding my decision. I'll be back in snocross next year but for now, I can't wait to get on my dirt bike."
