Trek World Racing Take 3 Podium Places and Retain Leader Jersey
Justin Leov and Andrew Neethling are currently tearing it up in Whistler
08.12.10 Justin and Andrew are currently tearing it up in Whistler, and after Justin's 2nd place in the Garbanzo (and Andrew's 8th despite an off before a slow root section), Justin decided to mix it up and have a bit of fun in the Enduro against the Megavalanche specialists, and finished 8th.
You can check Justin's interpretation of the course in this video up on Pink Bike.
Yesterday both entered the Air DH, an event that Andrew podiumed last year. Andrew managed 7th and was 4 seconds faster than his podium run of 2009, while Justin crashed out, but is OK.
Andrew said: "Practice went well but I lost my rhythm and tried too hard in the race and blew it. It was solid with a stacked field and I wanted a podium like last year. It's cool, a good event, but I didn't keep my flow like I wanted." Justin said: "I felt really relaxed and I was hitting all the jumps faster than I had in practice and it felt really good. Then, just coming into one of the really high speed bits into the forest I was going pretty quick and the back end just broke loose a little bit. I thought it'd be OK and then the front end started to wash out and I went down."
Finally, a big congratz to our soigneur Gabby Murphy who while in Whistler has found out that she has won a Dolphin Music Award for her region in the category of Adult Contemporary. Were all very proud of our musical masseur!!
