RIDING ADDICTION WORLD CUP #5 Val Di Sole
After Champery, the COMMENCAL SUPERIDERS team took the way of Val Di Sole (Italy) for the 5th round of the downhill and 4X UCI World Cup.
Gaetan raced his first World Cup race taking part of the 4X race ; during the qualifying, he took the 58th place offering him his ticket for the saturday finals. He will be eliminated at the first round, despite a good fight in the first corners with Joost Wichman and Will Longden.
Myriam and Thibaut were focussed on the downhill, one of the roughest and most technical of the circuit, many different trajectories between rocks and roots on a super dusty ground.
On friday qualifying, Myriam qualifies 5th and Thibaut 38th. The final took place on sunday afternoon, Myriam ends up with a nice 4th place on a track that wasn't necessarily to her advantage, encouraging more physical riders. Her regularity ranks her 5th at the World Cup overall.
Thibaut had pretty good feelings during the last training sessions, he shows it taking the 12th and 13th time at the 2 intermediates times, but unfortunatly fells down at the enter of the finish wall, then he had done the harder. He ends up 55th.
For the following, Myriam took the way of Norway with the French team for the European Champs. Thibaut and Gaetan will be in Oz en Oisans (France) in 2 weeks for the 3rd French Cup.
