MICHAEL HALL #164 OF TEAM YAMAHA STAR FINISHES IN TOP 10

Anaheim, CA - The 2009 AMA Supercross series migrated back to the world hot bed of Motorcycle racing this past Saturday, Angel stadium hosted round three of the championship with an extremely challenging track. Division 7/Star Racing /Yamaha's #164 Michael Hall and #207 Sean Collier showed they are progressing each week and the entire sport is really taking notice to our ever- evolving program.

Heat #1 had Collier, getting out of the gate in good fashion, and in the early laps he made some smart moves to insure a transfer position. The consistent, steady riding of Collier saw him take his Yamaha to a solid 4th place finish at the end of six laps. Heat #2 Hall once again grabbed the holeshot and proceeded to hold the lead for the first third of the race. Hall kept his cool and pushed the limits against the 250cc veterans. Holding down the 5th spot for the remainder of the race, in doing so, the rookie shook his run of hard luck and secured his first ever main event.

The Main Event: Hall put together a good start and smart first lap in 9th. At the halfway mark he began setting some personal best lap times and had worked his way up to 8th. On lap ten, Hall had one slight bobble when he cased a jump in a rhythm section; this took some wind out of his sails and slipped him back into 9th, Hall regained his form and went on to finish out just inside the top ten in only his third Supercross race. Collier was slow out of the gate but knifed his way in behind his teammate early into lap one. However, on the very next lap a run in with a tough block put him in the dirt. Able to remount, Collier would soldier on but only muster up a finish of 20th.

Be sure to keep an eye on our East coast contingents in Houston this weekend, #41 Matt Lemoine looks promising and our other rookie #159 Darryn Durham has been really strong in pre season testing.
