BIKE FAQ - FLOAT
What is the max air pressure?Rear Shox main air chamber 300psi
What is an air sleeve service, and how often should it be performed?
Air sleeve service is the periodic maintenance required to keep the air seals in good condition. This service should be performed every 8 hrs of riding time in wet/muddy conditions and every 30 hrs of riding time in dry/dusty conditions. The procedure can be found on the FOX service website. http://service.foxracingshox.com/
Is there a percentage of my body weight or a formula that I can use as a gauge to pressurize my Fox fork and shock?
Setting up your suspension is based on "setting sag" or measuring the distance your suspension compresses when you are resting on your bike in your riding position. Many variables ? frame design, leverage ratio, bike set up, frame size, and riding style contribute to your sag measurement so there is no formula to reference other than physically measuring.
Can I have my fork/shock custom valved to match my bike?
FOX is currently working on a custom valving program to be available spring of 2009.
How long is warranty coverage on my shock/fork?
The factory warranty period for your fork/shock is one year (two years for countries in the EU) from the original date of purchase of the bicycle or fork/shock. A copy of the original purchase receipt must accompany any fork/shock being considered for warranty service. Warranty is at the full discretion of FOX Racing Shox and will cover only defective materials and workmanship. Warranty duration and laws may vary from state to state and/or country to country. Additionally, the seals on your fork are covered 90 days from the date of purchase. After the 90 day period, they are considered wear-and-tear items and will not be covered under warranty.
Parts, components and assemblies subject to normal wear and tear are not covered under this warranty. FOX Racing Shox reserves the right to all final warranty or non-warranty decisions. FOX Racing Shox is not responsible for any damages to you or others arising from riding, transporting, or other use of your fork/shock or bicycle.
