BUDDY WILLIAMS CLINCHES THE 2009 70CC OPEN WORCS TITLE
Buddy Williams went into round 7 holding a slim lead in the 70cc open class, and was sitting 10 points back in the 70cc mod class. Buddy used his home track advantage at the Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino CA, to claim wins in both the 70 open and the 70 mod classes. He also finished 2nd in the 90cc sport class. With the two big wins Buddy has clinched the 2009 70cc Open WORCS National Championship with one round to go! This is Buddys 6th National Title. By winning the 70 mod rd 7 he's worked his way into a dead tie with Team Apex USA rider Travis Beckman. The two boys have battled all year, and will go head to head Oct. 15th in Mesquite NV, and winner takes the 70cc Mod National Title.
